Workhouse Arts Center

It is a vibrant, 55-acre center for the arts and arts education that, through adaptive reuse, utilizes existing structures on repurposed land in the former Lorton Reformatory. Huge spaces for a variety of gallery favorites! Wonderful positive vibe. Friendly service and great gift shop. It is a wonderful place to watch artists work and support their art by purchasing their artwork. You can also take various art and music classes.
The museum is on site about the prison that used to be located there with history about women’s suffrage. Absolutely wonderful place to see 4th of July fireworks!
